Sign Language Workshops ~ April Vacation Week

The Braintree Community Arts Center (BCAC) is thrilled to have teacher, sign language interpreter and author, Maribeth McKenzie MacDonald, offering three different introductory Sign Language courses at the center during school vacation week. On Monday April 18th at 10:00AM will be Baby Sign Language Basics Workshop where all ages will learn how to communicate with a baby before he/she can speak. Infants from eight months of age can learn concepts such as “thirsty,” “milk,” “water,” “pacifier,” and other basic signs; Tuesday, April 19th at 10:00AM learn to sign the popular book by Bill Martin “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” and on Thursday April 21st 6:30PM Introduction to American Sign Language will be offered to children ages ten to adult where they will learn the basic (ASL) American Sign Language alphabet, finger spelling and basic signs. The center offers a variety of classes in the arts and crafts along with specialty workshops in well-being and more; and is open to residents of Braintree and surrounding communities.
