Teacher: Marge Tucker – bio Improv Quilting support group is a group for those who are interested in improvisational piecing, whether you have never tried this method of piecing or have taken classes. Marge will have a focus/theme for each class and demonstrate a technique and/or time to work on projects you have started. The intent of this group is to foster enthusiasm for improvisational quilting in a fun and informal environment. We are aiming to meet every two months. Previous quilting experience is NOT necessary, but basic sewing skills are needed (basically you need to be able to operate a sewing machine). * Improvisational piecing can be described as no rules or regulations quilting. …Commercial patterns are not used therefore you are able to create unique and innovative pieces. For more info on Marge check out her website at www.margetuckerquilts.com. To reach her directly: email@example.com.
Materials Required: Please bring thread for the sewing machine, sewing machine, basic sewing supplies (pins, seam ripper, scissors), rotary cutter mat, ruler, square ruler for blocks, 1/8 yard cuts of 8-12 different fabrics. Printable list here
