Tots Exploring Art, Ages 2.5 – 5 years

Explore the process of artmaking using age-appropriate art and craft materials. Children will develop physical and cognitive skills while having sensory fun. Kids Ceramics for Ages 7 and up
Teacher: Linda Schatz- bio 
Kids will be taught to create hand built clay projects. These will include pinch pot projects like pinch pot monsters, flat slab projects like soap dishes, and free form for projects like clay creatures. Students will make forms the first week and, after drying will paint them the second week. The process will alternate making and painting with several ongoing projects. Artist History & Kids Art Class!  For kids in grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Does your child enjoy doing art and learning about different types of art and artists? Want something fun for them to do after school? Well, the artist in history and kids art class are perfect! Each class will be focused on one specific artist and we will learn about their life, art style, famous pieces and more. We will also create artwork like theirs based on the techniques they used. The projects assigned will be open-ended, so while kids are encouraged to go along with the techniques they learned, every student will have their own interpretation and go home with different works of art! Being Grateful – Creating Gratitude Journals Ages 10-12

Do you want your child to recognize all the things in their life that they can be grateful for? During this interactive session, students will create their own gratitude journal. We will discuss the benefits of having a gratitude practice and each student will be encouraged to write down a few things they are grateful for. What is your Vision? – Creating Vision Boards Ages 13-15
Teacher: Chrisi Hagar-bio
Kids/Teens have goals too! During this interactive session, kids will create a vision board using poster boards, inspirational pictures, and sayings that can be hung up at home to help remind them what they are trying to achieve. Studies show people that visualize their goals are more likely to achieve them. “If you can see it you can be it!” Art supplies/poster boards will be provided. Please have your child bring pictures and sayings (from magazines/internet) that are specific to their goals. Preregistration is required please sign up online or send an email request. Energy Flows Where Your Intentions Go – Creating Intention Boxes Ages 10-12

Do you want your child to learn now what some people don’t learn until they are adults or maybe never learn? That all energy flows where their thoughts and intentions go? Give your child a gift of realizing at an early age that setting intentions bring us joy, and joy is the catalyst for all that is good in this world. During this interactive session, students will create their own intention box. We will discuss what an intention is, why they are important and how you can incorporate setting intentions into your life. dj’s Children’s Theater Program, a series of 9 workshops for Ages 8-12 ~ The last two classes are for family viewing!
Teacher: Don Lutz Jr.- bio
For kids ages 8-12, this series of classes covers the foundation of acting and stagecraft, developing confidence on stage. It starts with basic Theater skills (e.g. not getting lost on stage learning how to stand, walk and importantly, learning how to talk) and progresses into acting in an improvisational setting. Kids are natural at improve! Each week also includes a theater game or warm up exercise that complements the weeks’ sessions. The approach is a developmental one, where each week builds on the previous week’s activities. These initial sessions use games and improvisation to develop the skills for a theatrical production. The goal is to learn while having fun at the same time.  The last 2 classes will be open for family viewing. Click on the theater photo to see a detailed outline of the program. Class Dates: Starting Monday, March 12th ending Monday, April 9th

Kids Knitting or Crochet for Ages 10+ – hoping to start again in March
Teacher: Janet Cianciolo-bio
Kids knitting beginners through advanced or beginner crochet with Janet will start up in October. No materials are needed for your first class the instructor will make suggestions then. Janet will teach the kids how to knit if they are beginners or advanced, if interested in learning crochet during this time it will be just at the beginners level only. Sign up online or send an email request (at least 24-hour notice required), specify the class date and child’s age. (Note: a minimum of two students required to run this class)
